Okay this really resonates and I'm wondering if I want to do more creating and that's why I want to avoid consuming right now. This really moved me. Thank you for sharing it.
oh! i didn’t know. i mean that it would have such an affect. i do feel like we get full up. and there’s so much happening in the world to get full up on.
"I became this person by accident" is a testimony. I think of the oft repeated quote "Man meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it." Jonah in the belly of the beast as well, spit up after 3 days and promising to do his best now going forward.
Diving into art or any new skill, is usually scary. You have so much self-doubt and you measure yourself against those who have much more experience and only see the darkness. However, it's a matter of getting in there and working and learning and making mistakes and getting knocked down and then getting back up. I have lots of doubt even to this day and plenty of anxiety. Yet, I keep writing. I like how you recognized that your writing was very visual and decided you needed to go into drawing. Self-awareness is pretty remarkable. Great post, Libby. Good luck.

Right on
Yes Sam, I thought this very same thing after reading this!
Yeah, must be something in the ether! Glad to know I'm not alone.

oh thanks for this, Hue! and that contemporary “life is what happens when we’re busy planning.” love all these intersections.
An important piece for all creatives, and I thank you!
gosh. thanks Stephanie. I’m so glad it resonated.
