agreed. i started this line of inquiry because i have this giant book of interviews called what is poetry just kidding we know you know.
I’m forgetting the poetry org now but it’s a long running nyc poetry club and newsletter and the book is a collection of interviews they’ve published over the years.
and i think reading them is one of the reasons i understood i was a poet after years of thinking i wasn’t.
I feel this way about poems too. It's just abandoned not "finished." Not always though. Sometimes I feel I can do no more, and therefore I can assume it is complete.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this — I guess it’s different for every poet, and it’s different for each piece. And I’m so glad the fall piece found a place in your thoughts — thank you for sharing. ❤️🌸
Good interview! It is always fascinating to see why and how someone was drawn to write.
Thank you for taking the time to read and for sharing your thoughts. ❤️🌸🌸

That's very true. Everything is always changing, us, the poems- everything.
Couldn’t agree more. 😊🌸
